Founded in 2017 by Ridhi Malik, ISTRI was born from a lifelong relationship with fabrics and a desire to make Indian textile traditions part of the modern woman’s everyday wardrobe. Inspired by her mother who spent decades working in the export industry, Ridhi was surrounded by fabrics, colours, textures and craftsmanship from an early age. Years later, she found herself noticing a gap.

Today, we travel through India’s textile traditions, discovering weaves, techniques and fabrics from artisan communities and weaving clusters across the country.

We Don’t Follow Every Trend. We Follow Craft. At ISTRI, our collections begin with discovery rather than trends. We look for textiles that make us stop because of an unusual weave, an unexpected color, a beautiful border or simply the quiet confidence of a fabric that doesn’t need to demand attention. Our curation is deliberately considered. We would rather bring you fewer pieces worth keeping than endless collections designed to disappear with the season.
